A battle in vain!

The battle for the Green party leadership has now become one between two main contenders with the Diyawanna former main chair entering the arena. 


Several civil society organisations and some leading political figures including Maggie from the South have already come forward in support of the former Diyawanna main chair.  Meanwhile, another Green group has launched a campaign from a Buddhist temple in Nugegoda in support of the other contender already in the fray: the swarthy heavyweight from the city.


However, battling for the Green leadership while the incumbent holding on to it, is like water off the Duck’s back, they say.
