A well -known envoy of our country with a Dr.-prefix to his name – serving in a distant capital called the former strongman the other day.
The former strongman having a good political scent knew that this envoy would not give him a long distance- call just to say howdy or discuss the general political situation.
After some small talk, the envoy inquired from the former strongman the reason for the delay in announcing their big poll candidate.
The former strongman chuckled and said: “The poll is yet to be announced. Why get set to cross the river when it is miles away?”
“You say that poll is miles away…But for people in these countries it has become a hot topic!” replied the envoy.
“What are they talking about us?” asked the former strongman.
“They say that nominating party’s big poll candidate has set a big poser to you, Sir. They also say that you are highly upset over this problem these days,” the envoy frankly told the former strongman what he learnt from his sources.
“My good friend,” replied the former strongman. “I have done politics for over 50 years. If I had got upset over the problems I had to face from time to time, I wouldn’t be among the living today. I am not a person who carries problems on shoulder! I tackle the problems I encounter one by one as I proceed on the way to my goal!”
The conversation ended as the envoy raised no more queries.
