Emerald International, the premier high quality shirt manufacturer, held this glamorous award ceremony to recognize and reward its top performing distributors in the western province for the year 2014. The ‘Diamond’ category was the highest amongst many other categories.

‘This recognition goes on to prove the skills, expertise and commitment Fashion Bug possess in its marketing and sales drive. It goes beyond than just being an Emerald dealer to being a partner,’ said Mr. Shabier Subian, Director of Fashion Bug. The clothing retail brand today has evolved into a household brand in Sri Lanka with its 22 years of rich experience in the country’s fashion and retail industry.

Fashion Bug Deputy General Manager Dr. S.H.M. Faraaz said, “We are delighted to have been recognized with the highest award at the Emerald International Dealer Convention amongst many other clothing retailers from the western province. This shows our commitment and passion towards our supplier brands and we hope to strive and thrive in similar efforts in the future.’’

The company was also recently awarded a platinum dealer status of Rainco, the leading umbrella manufacturer in Sri Lanka, in addition to having won many dealer awards in the past. Its website emerged as the most popular website under the ‘Advertising & Marketing’ category at the 2015 competition.
Emerald International founded in 1956 is Sri Lanka’s #1 brand in men’s shirts that firmly believes that men deserve nothing but the best. Emerald focuses on quality, reliability, and innovation. Its product design is spearheaded by Italian designer Roberto Inglesi, and the company manufactures a diverse range of products including woven shirts, t-shirts, innerwear, and formal trousers for local and international markets. Emerald is endorsed by Sri Lanka’s world renowned cricketing icons Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardena.

Fashion Bug commenced its operations since 1994 as a partnership business with 4 partners and a staff population of just 15, and today it possesses over 16 stores throughout the country with a workforce of over 1250 employees, and stands among the leading clothing stores in Sri Lanka catering with the fashion motto of 'Changing life Styles’.
