Citrus Waskaduwa appoints Palaka Perera as new GM

Citrus Leisure PLC announced the appointment of Palaka Perera as the new General Manager (GM) of Citrus Waskaduwa. 

Perera has a wealth of experience in the field of hospitality with his career beginning in 1980 as a trainee banquet waiter. Since then he has paved his way in the field of hospitality, holding managerial positions of renowned hotels in Sri Lanka such as Pegasus Reaf Hotel, Riverina Hotel, Confifi Beach Hotel, Eden Hotel, Galle Face Hotel, Jetwing Hotels, Saman Villas, Bentota Beach Hotel and Grand Hotel, out of which he served as the General Manager for 17 years. 

His illustrious career has also taken him to two countries; he was the Banquet Manager at Ruwi Novotel in the Sultanate of Oman and the General Manager at Royal Park Hotel in Bangladesh. His last stint was at Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya as the General Manager of the hotel for a period of seven years. 

Having received his primary education at D.S. Senanayake College in Colombo 7, Perera went on to being a graduate of the Ceylon Hotel School in 1986.
