Uncensored teledramas

These tele-dramas are telecast interspersed with advertisements with serialized stories. In the most disgusting manner they depict abductions, thuggery, shooting, holding people for ransom and all the nefarious activities of drug addicts and drug dealers. There is hardly a tele-drama where there is no violence.
These serialized tele-dramas attract the attention of entire households.Not to mention, they are being telecast at peak times when housewives need to pay attention to their families and school going children to their homework. This causes complete disruption to the association of family members until 9.30 at night daily. Young minds especially are easily led astray with false values being shown.
The question remains to be asked is, whether in a country which is accused of frequent abductions, ransom demands and murders this should be allowed. These tele-dramas are like training classes for those foul deeds.
Adding insult to injury periodically the producers and directors of these films are rewarded with awards whereas some of them should even be banned or at least censored before they further corrupt Sri Lankan society.
