To thine ownself be true

The Government is resorting to the impeachment of the Chief Justice, whose appointment was signed and approved by the head of the same regime. To facilitate this process, the Government had sought and collected 117 signatures from the members of Parliament, for this motion to be handed to the Speaker, so that the death knell could be expedited against the last bastion that protects democracy and the fundamental rights of the people.

“The gauntlet is thrown” by fate towards the author or authors who have instigated this charade and the others who have condescended shamelessly to deny the people’s protection for the sake of the Government’s self-interest and that of its stooges. We call upon the proponents of this regime to look into what they are doing. The numbing of conscience is a dangerous game to play. Such are culpable for going against that inner voice, that says it’s wrong. Consequences could be drastic for such and their families, and also the nation.

Probably, the reason for remaining a Government stooge could be because of dire consequences that follow for those enjoying political patronage and protection, not wanting it suddenly withdrawn. Or it could be the innate desire to want more power, position and privileges in life. Let’s remember karmic influences cannot be fooled around with. Those who don’t heed their consciences are culpable, for the incapacity to recognise the evil for what it is. Failure of such to recognise their guilt, or the illusion of their innocence does not justify them.

What we build will always be the kingdom of selfish people, with all the limitations akin to frail human nature. Yet when we allow ourselves to be guided, by listening to our conscience, we then cooperate with the higher powers that exist. Then shall society ascend and civilisations mature to where it is expected to be. To know what is right and the correct way of living is buried in the human psyche. When we have the attitude to want to live the truth, the hidden forces within do not disappoint. Then we can free our life and the world from the poisons and contaminations that could destroy the present and the future. Sadly however, individualistic and nationalistic self-interest at the expense of others brings limitations if not distortions in the human kingdoms we seek to build.

One could say that every tragedy, collapse or the breakdown of every best laid out plan of people is because of our innate desire to ignore what we perceive as right and choose instead what endorses self-interest. Awareness of this truth could be a starter. Then the higher power that seeks to work with our lower state, would deal with our innate sinfulness.
