Corruption is shrouded in ‘top secrecy’

The greater the openness, the lesser the corruption. Why does one need to ‘hush up things if dealings are straightforward. Such discreet operative techniques certainly are not part of an elegant mind.
 

Privacy ought to be best applied only within one’s very private and personal spheres yet when the sluice gates are opened into the administrative enclave, the far reaching negative consequences impacting the social whole is long lasting. Lack of transparency ushers in one sidedness, personnel administration becomes personal administration based on biases, prejudices, favouritism and what not. We caress inequity notwithstanding the call for egalitarianism. As a result, marginalisation sets in followed by frustration and revolution. Incidentally a revolting majority community member is an insurgent, his parallel in a minority is a terrorist.

In the absence of transparency and the wide prevalence in ‘personal administration’, the rule of law ceases to be, anarchy is inevitable.
 

Yet ironically these have today been interpreted as ‘good governance.’
 

In the absence of the rule of law, human rights violations emerge not to forget those that scream their lungs out over such violations were equal to the task when they went on a pecuniary rampage in colonial build up. Two wrongs do not make a right and those that boast of an ancient cultural heritage cannot afford to share commonality in rights violations with those that are denied such historical grandeur. The rights of humans are sacrosanct and its default coming off the global, local levels - state and terrorist ís crudity at its best and is certainly not part of elegant and noble thinking.
 

It was the Buddha’s powerful aura based on his unimpeachable integrity that compelled Angulimala - one of the worst offenders of human rights to give up hunting for the 1000th thumb.  ‘’Stop monk,’’ shouted this criminal later turned Arahat who was almost at near completion of his numerical objective - this time his target being the Buddha whom he encountered having changed his mind on his mother .The Buddha’s well articulated mind filled with spiritual wisdom found Angulimala fall at his feet with words that could come off only from a personage as forceful as the Buddha. ‘’I stopped long time ago and now it is your turn Angulimala,’’ he said.

To those that believe the State/ Church, Temple or whatever dichotomy to remain two distinct entities, in moral governance this need not be so if religious ideological purity is applied into secular government. The state/ church divide would cease to be and the Dasa Raja Dharma based state a reality. Until such time Sri Lanka cannot call it’s self a Buddhist state. The Buddha’s message is not contained in political Buddhism - the sole prerogative of vote conscious politicians so very greedy for power. The same would apply to world leaders of other faiths as well. It was the wickedness and secret manipulations of his friends that compelled Angulimala into marginalisation and revenge.
 

‘’After all it is a secret society. Manipulation, scheming, plotting and star class low cunningness is widespread. 
 

Politicisation is everywhere. So how come you ask for openness from what is secretive,’’ asked a scholar from this writer, a pre-requisite for an unjust systemic layout is secrecy. It took ‘Wikileaks’ Julian Asange to open the can of worms. Little wonder then why all guns are in his direction. One cannot call for a record straightening when the player’s surface itself is uneven.
 

The ‘secretive adoptions’ of an international elite injected at global level for purposes of world leadership is very much the choice preference of leaders within states with similar motives - the greed to be in permanent power within the state that has wrought endless misery to the world.
 

A highly secretive organisation - the Free Masons control the systemic layout and are into world government, banking, and politics in a big way. Against this corrupt backdrop the call for egalitarianism, human dignity and justice is only an utopia. The clarion call for human rights is only a facade for a powerful Free Masonry from where all such violations emanate. Yet states accused of missing out on such rights could expose the crudity and the moral shortfall in Free Masonry by improving on their own track record. In as much as human rights are a facade for an irregular world system coming off Free Masons, let not the unimplemented LLRC report be a whitewash or a dangling carrot for whatever may be the moral inadequacy in Sri Lanka’s governance.
