No toilet facilities during the glorious Kandy Perahera season

Soon, many thousands of Sri Lankans, if not millions, will assemble to watch the glorious annual Esala Perahera parade slowly along the streets of Kandy. But, calamitously, there are no toilets to provide convenience for the revellers.

As a result,  countless bottles of yellow urine would  be cast around and bad smells of  human excretia will begin to  assault the nose of the visitor to  those parts of Eastern Kandy town! 

The city officials are always hoping for a big benefactor to do the necessary for them. We are still waiting.
