SLPP defeated in Medamulana

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna had lost the election for Medamulana ward in Weeraktiya Pradeshiya Sabha at the local government election.  

National Peoples Power (NPP) had recorded a victory by polling 1115 votes against 768 votes polled by the SLPP at this political stronghold of the Rajapaksa family and the native place of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
