Narammala Actg. OIC and Crime OIC interdicted for failing to record a complaint

The acting OIC and the Crime Branch OIC of the Narammala police have been interdicted with immediate effect allegedly for their failure to record a complaint on cattle theft.   

A resident of Metiyagane in Narammala had made a complaint regarding the theft of his cattle but the police officers neglected the entering of the complaint.   

SSP Kuliyapitiya Division Mahesh Kumarasinghe after a preliminary inquiry in this regard has interdicted the two officers.   

A senior police official of Narammala police said steps were taken to enter the complaint on cattle theft and investigations initiated.
