Foreigners arrested for running gambling den

 An organized group of eleven Indians including three women who arrived in the country on tourist visas were arrested by Thalangama Police yesterday for running a gambling den through internet.   

 They were produced before Kaduwela Magistrate Bandara Ilangasinghe and remanded till August 07.

Police said the suspects had been running a gambling den at a rented house in Thalangama area.  

 The magistrate ordered police to handover the suspects to the Welisara Detention Camp pending further action.
