EPIGS’25 - Global South Integrity Summit launched today in Colombo

An international conference on electoral integrity, platform accountability, and information resilience will be held today and tomorrow at Cinnamon Life, Colombo.

Styled as “EPIGS’25 - Electoral, Platform, and Information Integrity Global South Summit,” the conference will be attended by digital rights, tech policy specialists, media development personnel from over 12 countries in the Global South – Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, The Philippines, USA, Zambia and Sri Lanka.

EPIGS’25 is being hosted by Factum, an Asia-Pacific focused think tank based in Colombo, in collaboration with Democracy Reporting International, with support from the European Union. The Conference will host multiple panels on best practices across the global south on government and tech engagement to address online harm, platform accountability and electoral integrity.
