Office bearers selected at AAUPCC Annual General Meeting

The 35th Annual General Meeting of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya-Colombo Chapter (AAUPCC) was held on Sunday  March 29,  2026 at the Main Auditorium (Sanhinda), Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), Colombo 07.

Mr. Athauda Jayawardena, Director, CEO of Innovative Pesticides Marketing (Pvt) Ltd, an a past General Secretary of AAUP Colombo Chapter,  was the Chief Guest.  The following key office bearers and 31 members of the Council of Management were re-elected for the term 2026/2027. President: Palitha Siyambalapitiya, General Secretary: Chandika Indikadahena, Treasurer: S.M. Gnanarathna, while Mr. S.C. Mayadunne was appointed as the Auditor.

The other office bearers were re-elected at the first meeting of the Council of Management held on April 26, 2026 at Lions Club Premises, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 07, namely Priyath Cabral as Immediate Past President, Jagath Dahanayake, Kumudini Kulatunga, Eeasha Nanayakkara and Hasantha Palihakkara as Vice Presidents, Shyamalie Perera and Yamuna Abhayawardhane as Assistant Secretaries,  Ranjith Karunaratne as Assistant Treasurer, P.  Balasingham, Neliya Fernando and Fareeza Ghazzali as Co-Editors, and: Chathuranga Weerasinghe as Coordinator.
