Colombo Stars stunned the table-topping Kandy Falcons teams to qualify for the final of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) on Thursday.
Kandy lost just one game in the group phase, but squandered two chances in the play-offs, missing out on Friday's final.
Batting first, Kandy were restricted 168 for 6 in their 20 overs, on the back of an excellent four over spell from Kasun Rajitha who took 4 for 20.
In response, Charith Asalanka scored a half-century, making 64 from 40 balls, with Ravi Bopara and Angelo Mathews taking the Stars across the line.
