First sitting of ninth Parliament commences

The first sitting of the ninth Parliament commenced a short while ago to elect the Speaker in accordance with Standing Order No. 1 of Parliament.

All the new Members elected to Parliament will then take their official oaths or affirmation before the new Speaker. This is followed by the appointment of a Deputy Speaker and a Deputy Chairperson of Committees.

this parliament is made many types of people. people who have been convicted by courts, people who are facing war crimes accusations, people who are educated and good character. Plus people who are educated but corrupted
