54 trains reach Fort station: Station Masters’ Union

The Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters' Union (SLSMU) said 54 trains have reached Colombo Fort railway station so far from other provinces exceeding the maximum passenger capacity.

They said, despite the government's restrictions and the people's request, trains headed to Colombo.

It is also reported that more people who had gathered at the stations elsewhere had lost patience to began to behave riotously.

The Association has requested the people to exercise restraint as the association will do its best to operate trains today. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
