Colombo university shifts lectures online over dengue

Colombo, July 9 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo University has decided to conduct all lectures online from tomorrow (10) until July 15 due to the ongoing spread of dengue.

The university administration said the decision was taken by the governing authority as a precautionary measure in view of the current dengue situation.

Despite the shift to online learning, student hostels will remain open during the period.

The university has also carried out fumigation activities across the campus over the past few days as part of efforts to control the spread of mosquitoes.

Meanwhile, the Aesthetics University and the Moratuwa University had earlier suspended on-campus academic activities due to the dengue outbreak.

Academic activities at the Aesthetics University are scheduled to resume on July 13, while the Moratuwa University is expected to reopen on July 21.
