Some players express safety concerns

Uncertainty surrounds the ongoing cricket series in Pakistan as several Sri Lankan players have expressed safety concerns following a suicide attack in Islamabad.  

Informed sources said that efforts are underway to persuade the players to fulfil their commitments, with Pakistani authorities providing strong security guarantees and holding multiple rounds of discussions with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Despite these assurances, the players remain hesitant.  

Sources indicate that SLC is exploring the option of sending a replacement squad to Pakistan to complete the series if the current players refuse to continue.
