“President Sajith Premadasa”?

People continue to bring their grievances to the Opposition Leader, reflecting their loss of confidence in those holding power

“As I sat here listening to these public questions, it occurred to me — are these questions being directed to President Sajith Premadasa?” Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa asked, highlighting what he described as the growing public frustration with the government.  

Addressing a gathering in Nochchiyagama, he said that even though there is a government and a president in office, people continue to bring their grievances to the Opposition Leader, reflecting their loss of confidence in those holding power. 

Mr. Premadasa noted that, as a result, he has collaborated with donors in Colombo to help resolve problems faced by underprivileged schools across the country.  

He further urged the public to stand up against what he called the government’s conspiracy to close down schools, asserting that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is prepared to lead the people’s struggle to safeguard the nation’s education system.
