Underworld linchpin Rajapaksa Arachchige Dinuka Madushan alias ‘Keselwatte Dinuka’ has reportedly died in Dubai.

Dinuka who had fled to Dubai and has been operating his drug trafficking and underworld activities from there had reportedly died of a heart attack.  A senior police officer said the police also had received unofficial information on the death and that they suspect he might have died due to a drug overdose.

Meanwhile, after hearing Dinuka’s death, white flags were seen hoisted at his house situated close to the Organised Crime Division at Mihindu Mawatha, Colombo 12. However, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the police are yet to confirm the death officially.

Keselwatte Dinuka is a close associate of notorious drug kingpin “Makandure Madush,” who was killed in a shoot-out with the police last year in Maligawatta.   Dinuka is believed to have been among the invitees at the party hosted by Madush at a five-star hotel in Dubai on February 4, 2019.
