More than 400 retired government servants were hosted at a Pensioners’ Day event in Anuradhapura by Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently, enabling them to discuss their banking requirements with the officials of the bank.
The event kicked off with a lecture on non-communicable diseases delivered by Rajarata University Senior Lecturer Dr. Manoj Fernando. This was followed by entertainment provided by Mihira Sirithilaka and Priyantha Senevirathne, which was well received by the audience and added glamour to the event.
The highlight of the day was a free medical camp conducted by the Suwa Sevana Hospital Kandy, at which essential health screening and medical consultation was offered to participants. Representatives of the bank were on hand to discuss the pensioners’ requirements in terms of loans and savings, including the bank’s ‘Yasasa’ pension account and loan facility.
