Sri Lanka celebrated its 75th anniversary of Independence at Galle face this morning with a military parade. President Ranil Wickremesinghe was the chief guest while ministers, MPs, diplomats were also present. Pix by Pradeep Dilrusksana

As much as we can be happy, proud and celebrate our independence of 75 years, are we REALLY independent? Currently we are totally DEPENDENT on China, India and the world to make ends meet.
