We, the old generation believed these slogan shouting socialists and voted for Sirimavo/NM in 1970. We ended up with Janata committee, Worker's Council, hunger and ques for Rice, Bread, Milk and clothes! We ate Kos Eta for breakfast and were half naked. The henchmen had all in plenty. Everyone in SL is demanding more and more salaries. How can these millions of mostly useless public servants be paid? Where is the money coming from? More salaries without any productivity improvements lead to hyper inflation and people will then ask for even more salaries. Solution is to get rid of half of these chair warming useless workers and digitising every government service.

Maybe their grievances are genuine, should investigate and report. That way unnecessary protests will cease, when there is transparency

Please be patient. President is trying hard to solve your issues. He has been to many overseas destinations looking for the solution and his last visit to Perth too he failed to find the solution. Give him a little more time and he will soon find the solution
