What's this "Press vs. Prez" event exactly ? Is it where the Prez warns the Fourth Estate about what they can and cannot do ? What is good to write and what is definitely detrimental to a journo's health ? How under the new Online Safety Laws, no administration or member of the administration can be criticised ? The leader has reported that this book was prepared by the vice chancellor of University of Moratuwa. If this is true, it is a very sad day for UoM. Unlike some other universities, UoM VC has always been honorable academics who never got involved in such projects. That's one reason why UoM is considered as a special place (the MIT of Sri Lanka),

after 3 degrees and much reading of books .I found that the reality out there depends so much on human ego ..lifting the principles and ideals oft cited in books ....but yet books are great companions for solitude . giving us the hope that those who rule too will read and be enlightened. .and shape the destiny of us silent readers .if only they had the time !

Absurd events designed to artificially prop up failed politicians who don't have the mandate of the people are a waste of public funds and fictional illusions for their own self satisfaction. No wonder more and more voters turn away from them. Just see the glum political faces in the audience and even more voters will turn away.
