Congratulations. I think one of the good things in this newspaper is that it seeks feedback from readers on its articles, via comments. The quality of some of the articles needs improvement, as they fail to provide closure. Either information is missing or there is no proper conclusion. It gives the feeling that not enough thought and investigative effort has gone into some articles. Also, critiquing the government or anything else, must be objective and based on fact. Country first mentality of writers is essential in a democracy and the interest of the country must take precedence over narrow political views, particularly during the long number of years between elections.

Newspaper award ceremonies are great to recognize their contributions to the society local and foreign. However Sri Lanka has an on-going habit of inviting politician's as chief guests in undesirable manner. May I suggest hereafter journalism award ceremony 's should be held in selected reputed universities of Sri Lanka which teaches languages
