A wall of the Dutch era building that is situated within the Galle Fort has collapsed last night. The wall was part of the Old Post Office.

Absolute disgrace by Sirisena Government. This matter was seen highlighted many times in the media before. When the roof of this Postal Building gave way 6 months ago, they were not concerned to repair it in any manner. Now that the building walls were all exposed to weather after the roof collapsed, the walls have begun collapsing. Listed International Heritage and the care given manifested. Hope this government will act on this at its earliest.
