Why not? Projects and initiatives cannot be held up due to shortage and lethargy of government surveyors. It's time they got real and get on with their job. The more time they waste protesting the more justification to outsource their work. In fact engaging private surveyors is a good thing, as the efficiency or otherwise of the government surveyors could be benched marked reliably.

True government organization should use the government survey department for government work instead of private surveyors thereby avoiding commissions

when you go to CMC and ask them to mark the building line/street line on a property they take several months to visit the site. Do you think a country can progress if you have to wait for 3-4 months to get a line marked on site

You can get your demands under the NPP government. Right now after if a proper survey is to be done, it needs to be given to private surveyors! If a shoddy job is needed with no proper timelines, you can do it!

They have been surveying SL for 76years job still incomplete. With fewer technically literate people and technologies like LIDAR, Geomapping, Ariel surveys using drone we could have digitized all parts and aspects of SL. Reduce the number of these pen pushers.
