Is anyone in Sri Lanka really convinced that Mahinda Rajapaksa is a Buddhist from the bottom of his heart, has spiritually understood the philosophy (!) of Buddhism and lives his life accordingly !!!??? His whole life is in complete contradiction to what the Buddha teaches and his appearance is only a staging for the public for the purpose of realizing his personal interests and goals of power! The most serious thing about this political abuse of Buddhism by Rajapaksa is that large parts of the country's Buddhist authorities do not contradict him and play this game!!!
