In an effort to lure tourists from the Middle East, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) recently engaged in active discussion with the outbound travel agents and tourism stakeholders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, (KSA).
The effort was carried out in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy, Riyadh, Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka, and the SriLankan Airlines office in KSA.
The SLTPB shared via a statement that the webinar attracted over 90 tour companies and representatives in KSA who are actively involved in the outbound tourism industry operating in several cities including Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah.
The key objective of the webinar was to improve awareness amongst tourists from the Middle East and industry stakeholders on what destination Sri Lanka has to offer. Participants of the event were able to gain firsthand information on the tourist attractions, adventure activities, exotic wildlife, and attractive tour packages, available in the country.
