Associated Motorways (Private) Limited (AMW) was honoured with the prestigious Largest Vehicle Trading Network Award at the country’s inaugural International Automobile Industry Awards presented by the Automobile Industry Council of Sri Lanka.
The awards ceremony, held at Temple Trees, brought together government ministers, senior public officials, industry leaders and key stakeholders representing Sri Lanka’s automotive sector. Conceived as a national platform to recognise excellence, innovation, sustainability and industry leadership, the awards evaluated organisations across multiple criteria including market impact, customer satisfaction, technological advancement, operational excellence and contribution to the development of the automobile industry.
The recognition reflects AMW’s longstanding contribution to Sri Lanka’s mobility sector and its extensive presence across the automotive value chain. With a heritage spanning more than 75 years since its establishment in 1949 by Sir Cyril de Zoysa, AMW has grown to become one of the country’s largest and most diversified automotive businesses. As a member of the Al-Futtaim Group, the company represents globally renowned brands including Nissan, Suzuki, Yamaha, Castrol and Epic Tyres, supported by a comprehensive islandwide network encompassing vehicle sales, motorcycles, after-sales services, spare parts, lubricants and tyre solutions.
AMW has continued to strengthen its position within the industry through a customer-centric approach, continuous investment in its network and a commitment to delivering world-class products and services. The company has also achieved significant success in Sri Lanka’s passenger vehicle market, with the Nissan Magnite and Suzuki Fronx contributing to AMW emerging as the market leader in the Class A SUV segment in 2025, securing a 55 percent market share.
