Institutions under Primary Industries State Min. present Rs.925mn dividends to Treasury


Five institutions under the purview of the Primary Industries State Ministry formally presented the annual dividends to the Treasury yesterday.
A formal ceremony was held at the Presidential Secretariat to mark the remittance of a total sum of Rs.925 million to the Treasury.
Accordingly, the National Gem and Jewellery Authority contributed Rs.350 million, while Lanka Phosphate Company Limited contributed Rs.300 million. B.C.C. Company’s contribution was Rs.100 million, National Salt Company contributed Rs.100 million and Sri Lanka Cement Corporation contributed Rs.75 million.
In a statement to the media, the Presidential Secretariat said this exemplifies a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors in bolstering the nation’s financial stability.
The event was attended by Primary Industries State Minister Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, chairmen and officials representing the contributing institutions.
