TALIEE revolutionising Entrepreneurial and Leadership Education in Sri Lanka

The Academy of Leadership, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Excellence (TALIEE) is transforming entrepreneurship and leadership education by introducing entrepreneurship programmes in Sinhala and Tamil for the first time in Sri Lanka. 

TALIEE’s teaching and learning philosophy is designed by over a quarter-century of experience in developing Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurship education, led by the renowned Entrepreneurship Guru, Prof. Shyaman Udayanga. 

TALIEE emphasizes practical, results-driven learning by blending real-world business experience with theoretical studies, equipping students to thrive in competitive markets. TALIEE’s programs cater to individuals at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey whether school leavers, aspiring entrepreneurs, or business owners seeking advanced leadership skills.

Inspired by a pioneering entrepreneurship education model introduced at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura by Professor Udayanga, TALIEE takes this concept further by emphasising practical, results-driven learning. Students gain real-world business experience alongside theoretical studies, preparing them to thrive in competitive markets.

The institute was officially inaugurated on March 11 in Homagama, with the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Sunil Handunnetti and Ministry Secretary, Thilaka Jayasundara attending as the chief guest.
