Sun Siyam Pasikudah marks 77th Independence Day



Sun Siyam Pasikudah, a tropical oasis on Sri Lanka’s eastern coast with sustainability and luxury woven in every encounter, commemorated the nation’s 77th Independence Day on February 4. 
This celebration coincides with a significant revival in Sri Lanka’s tourism sector, with the resort and eastern region offering unspoiled coastlines, diverse cuisine, and immersive cultural experiences.
To honor this milestone, Sun Siyam Pasikudah hosted a series of activities for both guests and staff, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration. The day commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony, where in-house guests and resort associates proudly raised the Sri Lankan flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem.

A traditional tea party was held, with guests indulging in an assortment of Sri Lankan delicacies enjoying the rich local flavors. The festivities continued with a special cake-cutting ceremony.The resort also hosted cultural performances, interactive storytelling sessions about Sri Lanka’s history, and beachside games bringing in a sense of celebration and togetherness.
