Sri Lanka’s handloom takes center stage at ‘Ransalu’



Sri Lanka’s rich handloom heritage took center stage at the ‘Ransalu’ National Handloom and Textile Industry Sales Fair.

From 4 to 6 April, the Nuga Sevana premises at BMICH, Colombo, transformed into a colorful tapestry of woven artistry, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.

 Organized by the Department of Textile Industries under the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, and graced by Minister Sunil Handunnetti, the event showcased the timeless skill and resilience of the island’s handloom community.
