World Travel Market (WTM) 2022 in London ended on a positive note for destination Sri Lanka with more international travellers convinced the island nation is safe to welcome and host them.
Sharing from London an update with Mirror Business on the outcome of the WTM, Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) said the sentiments on Sri Lanka is positive and travel and tourism stakeholders of key tourist source markets have realised that the country is not struggling as it did a few months back with shortages of fuel and other essentials.
A total of 57 hoteliers and destination management companies (DMCs), along with national carrier SriLankan Airlines took part in the event that was held from November 7 to 9.
More than 100 countries and around 5,000 exhibitors were showcased at this mega event attracting visitors from all parts of the globe.
