The Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) announced the launch of the 7th annual SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards (SNIA) 2025.
The event which recognizes technological innovation and ingenuity across all sectors, will highlight Sri Lankan talent making a significant impact globally. The awards ceremony will take place in June, where winners will be celebrated at a grand gala for their contributions to innovation, ethics, and leadership in technology.
SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards serve as a cornerstone in recognizing excellence across a range of industries, demonstrating how technology has amplified positive change in Sri Lanka.
Speaking on the launch of this year’s awards, Nishan Mendis – Chairman, SLASSCOM said, “Technology is transforming industries, and Sri Lanka’s ingenuity is playing an increasingly critical role on the global stage. We believe that by recognizing and celebrating innovation across all sectors, we can drive further impact and attract much-needed global investment into the country.”
The 2025 awardswill recognize innovation across a diverse range of categories, including Best Innovative Product/Project in Fintech & Banking, Transportation & Logistics, Agritech and Manufacturing, Hospitality and Tourism, E-commerce & Retail, and Edutech and Healthtech. Additional categories will celebrate excellence in Government innovation, Woman Technopreneur of the Year, Best Tech for Good Software Innovation, and Best Innovative Product/Project – General. Other awards include Best Innovation in Internal Processes, Technology, or Framework (RPA), Best Startup, and Best Innovative Product/Project in Schools and Universities.
The SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2025 align with SLASSCOM’s broader goal of achieving US$1 billion in revenue from Sri Lanka’s IT sector. By celebrating the exceptional work of Sri Lanka’s tech innovators, SLASSCOM hopes to enhance the country’s global standing, increase investor confidence and showcase the capacity of Sri Lankan businesses to drive international growth and innovation.
Applications for the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2025 will open today (April 2).
