IChemC Open Day on Jan. 25



The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon is to hold an Open Day on January 25 at 10 a.m. at Adamantane House, Kotte Road, Rajagiriya.

The Open Day will provide an opportunity to meet the Institute’s esteemed lecturers, alumni, and current students enabling room to discover innovative programmes, explore the vibrant student life at the Institute, and learn about exciting career paths in chemistry.Chemistry is central to numerous scientific advancements, playing a crucial role in fields such as smart and renewable materials, sustainable technology, alternative energy, agriculture and food science, pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical technology, nanotechnology, and nuclear technology. 

The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon offers several main programmes, including the Bachelor of Science Honors (BSc Hons) in Chemical Science, a comprehensive four-year full-time programme meeting Sri Lanka Quality Framework (SLQF) standards, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to contribute to sustainable development and global chemical research. 

The Graduateship in Chemistry Programme (GIC) is a prestigious four-year professional qualification recognized for nearly fifty years and accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the UK. It is an alternative to a traditional science degree and is highly valued for employment and further education. Additionally, it offers the Bachelor of Science Honors in Biotechnology and Bachelor of Science Honors in Chemical Technology, provided by Kursk State Medical University, Russia, as well as a two-year professional qualification in Diploma in Laboratory Technology.
