Hemas Hospitals has taken yet another step forward in enhancing patient care with the introduction of its online Lab Portal – a web platform designed to transform the way patients access and manage their lab reports and results.
The Lab Portal empowers patients with the convenience of viewing both their historical and recent reports directly on their smartphones, offering a seamless and efficient approach to healthcare management. This is a first for Sri Lanka and underscores Hemas Hospitals’ commitment to digital enablement and patient-centric care.
Discussing this new feature, Dr. Dushyanthan Subramaniam, Director of Hemas Labs said, “This portal marks a substantial leap forward in delivering healthcare services to our patients, greatly improving their overall experience by enabling convenient access to their reports. This new facility demonstrates our commitment to ongoing innovation.
We believe this is a significant step forward towards seamless, digitally-enabled and proactive healthcare management and invite our patients and the public to take advantage of this tool.”
One of the standout features of the Lab Portal is its provision to showcase the trend of investigations, allowing patients to compare and analyse current results with their previous test results. This not only empowers individuals to track their health progress but also allows doctors to gain a deeper and more holistic understanding of a patient’s medical history.
Patients who have shared their mobile numbers for billing since 2018 can access a comprehensive archive of their lab reports. Moreover, the Lab Portal extends its functionality to allow individuals to view reports of their loved ones, such as parents or children, if that phone number is also provided during billing.
