Hayleys Plantations Sets New Benchmark in Corporate Reporting Excellence

Earns Top Honors at Major Corporate, Financial & Sustainability Reporting Awards – TAGS, SAFA, ACCA, and CMA Hayleys Plantations continues to redefine corporate reporting excellence, securing a series of prestigious accolades that reinforce its industry leadership and unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, governance, and sustainability. At the CA Sri Lanka TAGS Awards 2024, organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, all three of Hayleys’ Regional Plantation Companies (RPCs) emerged victorious:

• Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (KVPL) clinched the Gold Award in the Plantation sector (Group Turnover Above 5Bn Category).
• Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC (TTE) won Silver in the same category.
• Horana Plantations PLC (HPL) secured the Gold Award in the Plantation sector (Group Turnover up to 5Bn Category). These prestigious awards recognized Hayleys Plantation Companies’ corporate reporting excellence under the core pillars – Transparency, Accountability, Governance and Sustainability in their financial and non-financial disclosures.

 These achievements were further amplified at the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Best Presented Annual Report Awards, where KVPL secured the Bronze Award for excellence in financial reporting. At the ACCA Sri Lanka Sustainability Reporting Awards 2024, TTE and HPL once again took centre stage, with TTE winning the Agriculture Category and HPL emerging as Runner-up, showcasing overall excellence in corporate reporting. The CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2024 also recognised Hayleys Plantations for its outstanding financial and non-financial disclosures:

• TTE was crowned the Winner of the Best Integrated Report – Plantation Sector and secured a place among the Ten Best Integrated Reports across industries.
•  HPL emerged as the 1st Runner-up in the Best Integrated Report – Plantation Sector, also earning a Merit Award.
•  KVPL received a Merit Award for its excellence in integrated reporting. The North American Tea Conference (NATC) 2024 in its Tea Sustainability Awards recognised Hayleys Plantations for their impactful sustainability projects.
•  KVPL was the Overall Winner in the Gold Medal Tea Competition for Halgolla Estate’s Western High Silver Tips.
•  KVPL was also amongst the winners for “Journey towards World’s First regenagri Certified Tea Estate” project.
•  TTE was awarded for its “HerLead – Making History through Equality” project.
