Govt. introduces minimum standards for LED bulbs

The government has decided to introduce minimum energy performance stands for light emitting diode (LED) bulbs.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal in this regard by Power, Energy and Business Development Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

The minimum standards will be introduced through a gazette directive under Section 67 of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority Act and will be tabled in Parliament.
