KOKO, Sri Lanka’s pioneering buy now, pay later (BNPL) platform, announced a strategic partnership with FitsAir, marking the brand’s entry into the travel sector.

Through the collaboration, the passengers can book flights and pay in flexible instalments, making travel much more convenient for Sri Lankan travellers.

FitsAir, Sri Lanka’s first privately-owned international airline, was founded on the ethos of simple, reliable and affordable travel.

“Air travel should be accessible not just in price but in how people choose to pay,” said FitsAir Head of Marketing and Communications Shafiya Careem.

“Our partnership with KOKO introduces a new level of flexibility for Sri Lankan travellers, allowing more people to plan their journeys without financial barriers. This collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation that directly improves the travel experience and makes flying more attainable for everyone.”

The FitsAir customers paying for travel using KOKO have the option of splitting payments into three interest free instalments while Prism users can split up to six instalments. The users who are able to pay immediately via KOKO will receive a 2 percent discount on the total price.

KOKO has helped remove financial friction for hundreds of Sri Lankans across everyday life for the last five years. From retail to electronics to food and beverages and even healthcare, the BNPL has helped expand access to services and opportunities that may have previously been out of reach for many people.

This latest collaboration will now bring that same impact to air travel. A sector that has been prohibitively expensive and inaccessible for many due to a combination of high operational costs, significant taxes and currency devaluation.

“This partnership marks a meaningful step forward in the Sri Lankan travel market. It offers greater affordability and flexibility for travellers who have historically had fewer options when financing air travel,” shared KOKO Head Dinuki Karunatilake.

FitsAir continues to expand its regional footprint with services to Malé, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Dhaka, alongside new destinations planned for 2026. By combining competitive fares with technology-driven solutions, the airline is redefining accessibility in air travel. The partnership with KOKO reinforces FitsAir’s position as a forward-thinking airline focused on delivering smarter, more flexible travel options for modern travellers.
