First Capital wins Gold and secures four at CA Sri Lanka’s TAGS Awards

First Capital Holdings PLC recently celebrated a momentous achievement at the 2024 TAGS (Transparency, Accountability, Governance, Sustainability) Awards organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) for the 59th consecutive year.

The event took place at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, where First Capital was honoured four awards, with the coveted “Gold Award” in the Investment Banking category. 

In addition to this, First Capital was also awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Overall Excellence in Integrated Reporting, further underscoring its dedication to high standards in corporate reporting. 

The TAGS Compliance Badge, introduced in 2023, was awarded to participants as a symbol of their commitment to advancing corporate reporting standards. With the multiple accolades at this year’s TAGS Awards, First Capital continues to display the TAGS Compliance Badge, reinforcing its leadership in reporting excellence.

At the TAGS Awards ceremony, First Capital Holdings PLC earned the Gold Award in the Investment Banking category. This recognition emphasises the company’s exceptional performance and its continued leadership as an Investment institution. In another outstanding achievement, First Capital Treasuries PLC, a subsidiary of First Capital Holdings PLC, was awarded the Gold Award in the newly listed companies’ category. 

Additionally, First Capital Treasuries PLC secured the Silver Award in the Service Sector (excluding other service categories), reinforcing its exceptional performance in delivering high-quality treasury services. 

Furthermore, First Capital Money Market Fund received the Bronze Award in the Unit Trust sector. This accolade acknowledges the fund’s consistent performance in the money market and the company’s commitment to providing value for investors.
