The Women’s Day celebration organized by the United Nations Association of Sri Lanka, held on March 22 at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, recognized female role models leading the nation in various fields.
The event was graced by Dr. Harini Amarasooriya, Prime Minister and Minister of Education, and Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
A highlight of the event was the recognition of Dr. Kumari Grero, the Consultant Coordinating Principal of Lyceum International Schools and the Principal of Lyceum Nugegoda, who was honoured for her exceptional leadership in, and contribution to education in Sri Lanka.
She has dedicated 32 years to shaping the future of Sri Lanka’s younger generation. As an individual with a passion for learning and a dedication to teaching and positive change, her influence extends beyond academics.
