DSI Samson Group’s Samsonlines marks 500th shipment

Samsonlines, the logistics arm of DSI Samson Group, has marked a significant milestone in its growth trajectory, completing its 500th shipment. 

Despite being less than two years into the industry, the company has rapidly expanded its market presence, securing its position as a key player in the logistics industry, both locally and globally, with the team having more than 30 years of experience handling internal operations.

Founded as an internal operation to streamline DSI Samson Group’s import and export requirements, Samsonlines has evolved into a dynamic logistics service provider. The organisation began with a focus on minimising operational costs and increasing efficiency. Over time, the company extended its services to external clients, prompting the formation of a separate strategic business unit. 

Managing Director Nelani Rajapaksa said, “Samsonlines started as the internal logistics arm of DSI Samson Group, handling all the logistics services of the group. Over the past few years, we’ve grown beyond that, expanding our customer base to serve external clients as well. Along the way, we’ve added freight forwarding to our services, making Samsonlines a more well-rounded logistics partner. And we’re not stopping there. We’re already branching out into areas like transport handling and warehouse management to ensure Samsonlines becomes a true one-stop shop for logistics and supply chain solutions.” 

She further reiterates that hitting 500 shipments is an incredible milestone and speaks volumes about the hard work, dedication and vision of the Samsonlines team.
