Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, Founder President of CMA Sri Lanka and Chairman of the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards Committee, presented the official brochure and application for the 2025 Awards to Senior Professor Hareendra Dissabandara, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Sri Lanka, during a special meeting held at the SEC premises recently.
Prof. Watawala also handed over the Judges Report of the 2024 Awards to the SEC Chairman, underlining CMA’s ongoing commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and best practices in corporate reporting.
The judges’ report is compiled by the Senior Technical Evaluation Panel incorporating insights from the Judges Panel. Its purpose is to outline key observations and lessons from drawn from the Awards assessment process. The report highlights best practices demonstrated by participating organizations.
The awards, launched in 2015, have become a flagship initiative promoting integrated reporting, integrated thinking, and long-term value creation across the corporate sector. The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) will once again support the initiative as the Strategic Partner for this year as well. The competition is open to a diverse group of organizations, including listed companies, private enterprises, state-owned entities, SMEs, and public sector institutions.
This year’s evaluation will be based on the International <IR> Framework (2021 revision) and will give special emphasis to sustainability practices aligned with the newly introduced Sustainability Standards S1 and S2. An esteemed panel of local and international judges will assess the entries.
