  • Voted Best Container Terminal in Asia (Under 4M TEUs) 9 years in a row

Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) has once again been recognised at the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards, receiving the award for Best Container Terminal – Asia (Under Four Million TEUs).

CICT has received this honour, for the ninth consecutive year, cementing its reputation as a leading regional hub for transshipment and container handling.

The 2025 AFLAS Awards ceremony was held recently at Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel, bringing together key stakeholders and decision-makers from across the freight, logistics and supply chain industries in Asia and the Pacific.

Hosted annually by Asia Cargo News, the AFLAS Awards honour organisations that demonstrate leadership, reliability, innovation, customer relationship management and consistent service quality. Unlike many industry awards, the AFLAS honours are determined through a transparent three-stage process i.e. nominations, technical evaluation and final voting, by the very people who work in and depend on these services such as logistics professionals, freight forwarders and clients across Asia and the Pacific. This year, over 49 categories were awarded, with the top four nominees in each category moving to the final round.

CICT CEO Jan Zhang said, “This recognition reflects the trust and support of our valued customers and partners across Asia and the Pacific. We are proud to be acknowledged for our consistency and commitment to service excellence. It drives us to continually improve and innovate to meet the evolving industry needs.”
