BOC exceeds Rs.666bn in Avurudu transactions



Bank of Ceylon (BOC) reaffirmed its leadership in banking services by facilitating over Rs.666 billion in

customer transactions during the Avurudu season 2025. 

This achievement underscores the trust the customers place in BOC’s extensive service network and its commitment to providing seamless financial access during the peak festive periods.

Between April 01 and 15, 2025, BOC’s customers made 3,236,318 POS transactions, amounting Rs.13.57 billion. Meanwhile BOC’s ATM and cash recycling machine (CRM) network processed 9,173,642 transactions, amounting Rs.211.97 billion, with 932 CRMs and 568 ATMs islandwide. 

With this wide network of service points, BOC customers enjoyed 24/7 real-time deposits and withdrawals. 

From April 07 to 12, BOC’s 658 branches handled Rs.440.48 billion in over-the-counter transactions through 961,966 service engagements, ensuring uninterrupted access to banking services during the festivities. Selected branches remained open even on April 12 (holiday) to provide additional convenience to customers during the holiday rush.
