Avissawella Hospital bags 5 national 5S productivity awards

Avissawella District General Hospital received five 5S Certification Awards at a national productivity awards ceremony held in Colombo on July 9, marking one of the strongest performances among the public sector institutions recognised this year.

The awards were presented at the 10th Anniversary Celebration and 5S Certification Award Ceremony organised by the National Productivity Secretariat under the Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Ministry.

The 5S certification programme recognises institutions that demonstrate high standards in workplace organisation, efficiency, productivity and quality management.

Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunhetti attended the event as the chief guest, while Ministry Secretary Thilaka Jayasundara was also present.

Hospital representatives received the certificates at the ceremony held at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo.
