Alumex PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading aluminum manufacturer, last week unveiled its latest state-of-the-art urban range of products under a partnership with Capral, Australia’s largest aluminum extruder.

The new product line-up, the Urban Plus Sliding Window, Urban Plus Casement Window, Urban Plus Sliding Door, Urban Plus Double Hung Window and Urban Plus Hinged Door, was introduced to the market in the presence of architects, builders, fabricators and dealers.

Addressing the launch event, Alumex PLC Managing Director Pramuk Dediwela said the partnership is a game changer for the local aluminum industry.

“By combining Capral’s globally acclaimed innovation with Alumex’s local manufacturing expertise, we are offering solutions that meet international standards while catering to the unique needs of the Sri Lankan market.

By transferring advanced manufacturing techniques, innovative designs and technical expertise to our workforce, we are encouraging knowledge transfer, reducing import reliance and lowering costs. This is a bold step toward a more sustainable and dynamic future for our industry,” he added.

The Australian brand is known for its advanced architectural aluminum systems, designed to meet the evolving needs of contemporary urban architecture.

The range offers sleek designs, superior durability and energy-efficient solutions, making it an appealing choice for architects, builders and homeowners alike.

Capral’s team is also scheduled to conduct training sessions at the Alumex Training Centre, equipping Sri Lanka’s fabricators with the expertise to work with Capral’s cutting-edge systems. These sessions aim to enhance craftsmanship quality and industry standards.

Capral claims its products are renowned for aligning with sustainability goals, optimising energy efficiency and promoting environmentally responsive construction methods.
