Acuity launches mentorship programme to shape future leaders in global capital markets

Acuity Knowledge Partners Sri Lanka and University of Wayamba teams with programme participants

Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity), a leading provider of bespoke research, analytics and technology solutions to the financial services sector has announced the launch of a mentorship programme designed to equip university undergraduates with the skills and knowledge required to pursue careers in global capital markets. 

Developed in collaboration with the University of Wayamba, the programme offers students direct exposure to industry practices through mentorship, practical learning, and career development opportunities.  

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application by providing structured mentorship from industry professionals. Students will participate in interactive workshops, case studies, and hands-on training focused on investment research, financial analysis, and market dynamics.  

Speaking on the initiative, Nuwan Jayawardana, Director, Investment Research at Acuity Knowledge Partners, stated, “This programme offers students valuable insights into the financial industry, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed. Our objective is to provide them with practical exposure to industry trends and career pathways in a cohesive and a timely manner.”  

Through this initiative, Acuity Knowledge Partners seeks to support students in their transition from academia to the workplace by offering guidance from experienced professionals. The mentorship programme is structured to provide exposure to key areas such as portfolio management, investment strategies, and financial modelling.
